Try to run the adaware and spybot in safe mode with system restore off... I think this is something in the registry, how much of CPU proccess is IEXPLORER taking when you open it? If this is bugging you alot then you should maybe try another browser like Firefox :)

hi
be sure that when you run adaware it has the latest updates from its servers kinda like norton antivirus definitions. then run it again.

Even with the updates there are a couple of things that it is not catching..

hi to all

i just want to share my thoughts...

it seems that everytime you reinstall IE6 or run spybot you end up making IE close fine but only for the first time...the second time you would launch IE and close it again it would not close down...i beleive there is an entry in your registry that does this kind of action...it seems that when the system has detected that you have started the IE program it automatically disables closing the application..i still believe that this is some kind of hijack files within your system that does not want you to close your internet connection since these types rely mostly on your internet usage... :D

For gods sake just switch to firefox
www.mozilla.org/products/firefox

You want some good reasons ?

www.osvdb.org/searchdb.php?action=search...IE&Search=Search

This browser is
a. horribly insecure (about 4-5 critical vulnerabilties monthly)
b. featureless (tabbed browsing ? pipelining ? integrated search ? anything ?)
c. hasnt been updated in almost 8 years !
d. Is so tightly integrated into your operating system, if it blows up
it will take everything with it.
