completely agree with bishop, i have been to a similar building where the wireless was working in one room, and was totally dead when i tried to acess it from another room. not the mention the fact that this was a secured area, and the building served as a archive for important documents.

Could be a directional antenna on the AP that was restricting the direction of the signal. No?

very well, then if both were in the room. your initial post was not conclusive enough for us to be able to figure that part out!!!
anyway, if both users were using similar type of wireless cards on their machines (i.e. laptops, or desktops), then try swapping them, and let them use again. if the problem shifts to the other machine, then issue is with the wireless network card. if the problem still resides in the same machine, then its an issue with the machine.

Hi,

In those circumstance you can try to change the channel inside the router GUI or you can even try repeater. which would help in good connectivity.
