Microsoft Technet have announced that Internet Explorer 7 will be automatically installed by Windows Update as a high-priority update from the 1st of November 2006.
If you do not want this to occur, instructions on blocking the update are available from http://www.microsoft.com/technet/updatemanagement/windowsupdate/ie7announcement.mspx.
