Windows 8 is going gold on October 26, 2012. A lot of new features will be implemented in the new OS. You guys should look into it.
Windows 8 will be available in 4 different editions. Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro, Windows 8 Enterprise, and Windows RT. Windows RT will only be available on ARM-based equipment, which is mostly tablets.
I haven't heard word yet on when Server 2012 is going gold. I assume it's not too far behind.
Windows Server 2012 will be the first Windows Server OS to not feature support for the Itanium processor. If you have plans for upgrading in the near future, this may be a road block. However, I haven't run into many sites that still use Itanium processors on their servers. I could certainly be wrong, though.
