How can I find out what is happening during the boot-up process? I have 3 machines that are taking way to long to boot-up. I have checked the Event logs but that doesn't give me enough detail.

Thanks again!

(':?')were those systems taking more time to boot up or OS start up ?

*If those 3 systems are in the LAN, unplug the network cable and try to boot it. some times profile loading problem may slow down the start up.

* some systems will have the option of fast boot or quick boot in BIOS try enabling it.

nnbnbXP, when booting, goes through a number of different stages. What you need to do is to watch the boot and try to decide at which point the slowdown kicks in. Have a read at this article www.freecomputerrepairservices.com/syste...xp-boot-process.html which ties what is happeing to what you see on the screen at each stage of the boot. Once you have an idea which part of the boot is slow then at least you'll have an idea where you might look for the solution
