privileges to start system services was created by cjsmith22
I've just done a fresh install of xp pro onto a dell dimension 3100 - seems to have gone ok however when i try to install a particular program (nortel tunnel guard) I'm getting an 'error 1920. verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. There's only one user account (administrator) and I have been able to install other programs which require changes to system services. any ideas ?

This problem seems to occur whenever you do not have sufficient privileges (which you do) or there is a bug present in the installer. Is there an option to "start the service after the installation". You may want to disable that and restart you PC first.

i think the installation need use a service that is disabled in
the services, if u know which service does it use then enable it
(run>>services.msc).
