Squid error TCP_MISS/504

hello friends !

i am having problem in squid , when i browse from any client it gives me connection failed error msge on browser.

i have checked log files access.log , it shows following lines

1174491459.890 241295 10.0.0.9 TCP_MISS/504 1362 GET www.yahoo.com/ - DIR
ECT/69.147.114.210 text/html
1174491701.490 241430 10.0.0.9 TCP_MISS/504 1384 GET www.yahoo.com/favico
n.ico - DIRECT/69.147.114.210 text/html
1174492833.566 239900 10.0.0.9 TCP_MISS/504 1362 GET www.yahoo.com/ - DIR
ECT/69.147.114.210 text/html


i have also check cache.log and found following enteries.

2007/03/21 16:10:49| Reconfiguring Squid Cache (version 2.5.STABLE13)...
2007/03/21 16:10:49| FD 9 Closing HTTP connection
2007/03/21 16:10:49| FD 11 Closing ICP connection
2007/03/21 16:10:49| User-Agent logging is disabled.
2007/03/21 16:10:49| Referer logging is disabled.
2007/03/21 16:10:49| DNS Socket created at 0.0.0.0, port 32773, FD 8
2007/03/21 16:10:49| Adding nameserver 212.85.15.40 from /etc/resolv.conf
2007/03/21 16:10:49| Adding nameserver 212.85.15.10 from /etc/resolv.conf
2007/03/21 16:10:49| Adding nameserver 10.0.0.1 from /etc/resolv.conf
2007/03/21 16:10:49| Accepting HTTP connections at 10.0.0.9, port 8080, FD 9.
2007/03/21 16:10:49| Accepting ICP messages at 0.0.0.0, port 3130, FD 11.

squid is listening http request on 8080 .... internal network address on squid is 10.0.0.9 and external address is 212.85.21.101
...

please help me in solving this rubbish prob

I don't think theres any problem with this. A TCP/MISS simply means that the file wasn't in the squid cache and had to be downloaded from the source.

Hay i m also using squid2.6 STABLE9 and having same problem of tcp_miss as my squid is not caching user's requests while it should cache these requests but it doesn't so plz help me too to solve this problem so nice of u

you guys may try to re-build the Cache and check their integrity as well

squid -z -S

I'm currently using STABLE16 and it worked perfectly on my environment, including squidGuard and the in-line squidclamav sub-modules.
