Hi Lindows,

See www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/16340.html

Gives a step by step guide to getting SUSE ready for Compiling and how to compile.

If you need further help ask away and I am sure you'll get answers...

Replied by Lindows on topic Hello
Hey,

Ranger thanks for the help, I went to the link but i had a program. Well after running the command to check if i had gcc installed.

i recieved the following output:

rpm -qa make gcc

make-3.80-188

So, then i went to yast, and went to software management, but after install everything that related to gcc, my system still doesn't report it installed.

Any solutions,

Lindows

Hi Lindows,

Please post the output of :

[code:1]rpm -qa kernel*[/code:1]

and

[code:1]rpm -qa make gcc[/code:1]

Then we can take it from there. I'm not overly familiar with SuSe but I am sure we can sort it.... and maybe others can offer advice.
