Traffic Test Programs?

Anyone know of any freeware programs that generates high amounts of traffic (Multicast, Broadcast, Unicast) for testing Switches?

Check out netcat and ttcp for *nix based systems and PCATTCP for windows.

There aren't a lot of choices out there in the freeware world, but there are probably a couple more that I'm not remembering right now.

There's a free utility called Qcheck which is available from Ixia on www.ixiacom.com . It can't generate torrents of traffic but it does provide some useful features
