Hi Mr Ice:)

Wireless networking is one of the topics we plan to extensively cover here at Firewall.cx, but since we haven't got anything on the topic, here are a few websites that cover basic concepts:

www.homenethelp.com/802.11b/index.asp
pasadena.net/presentation/
www.its.uiowa.edu/tns/data/wirelessbas.htm
www.laptopshop.co.uk/wirelessbasics.html

If you need more information, the try doing a quick search on google.com.

Cheers,

There is also some good information at your larger bookstores - Look in the Networking section and you should see quite a few books on Wireless Security. If the bookstore has a Cafe, check them out over a Latte.

Tom.

Thanks,

Tom

Mm coffee, I could use some of that right now at work lol
Check out these links

wifi.qaddisin.com

www.makeitwork.be/docs/wifi-securing.htm

lists.insecure.org/lists/security-basics/2003/Aug/0517.html

The last link to insecure.org will have good info. I recommend you pick up one good book (just about any should do because this is a fairly new topic, so it'll be up to date) and then after reading it, trawl through the mailing lists at securityfocus and insecure.org.

When you've finished your thesis would you be able to put it up somewhere for all of us to feed on ? Wireless security is something I really need to brush up on.

Good luck with that paper !
