Wirless Bridge or Access Point set to bridge mode?

Hello, I have a Dlink WAP on my network and I would like to connect my XBOX to the network but not using any cables.

So I thought i need a Wireless bridge, but i have found that Dlink Access Points and others have a bridge mode and these are cheaper than a standalone Wirless bridge.

So can i use a cheaper WAP set to bridge mode to connet my XBOX or do i have to use a Bridge?
