D-Link -access point & cisco switch problem

So you were saying when you connect a PC direct to the access point in building 3, there was no problems. Am I correct ?

Did you try applying static IPs on the those PC on Buliding 3 ? If it works with static IPs then you'll be sure that the problem is related to DHCP not anything else.

Unfortunately, the problem still exists, even after applying the static ip address.

No DHCP issue, Then, If it works correctly without the switch at building 3. My doubts are headed to that switch. I would do the following:

1. Make sure the PCs at building 3 can ping each other. If they can't, it would seam that you have a problem with the switch.

2. You might need a crossover UTP cable between the AP and switch in building 3.

3. Try another port in the switch to connect to the AP.

Thank you (S0lo)for interaction, we have solved the problem,by change in the mode of the access point from Repeater to Clint.

Hi Ahmed i love ur post and how u came about ur solution on the equipment in building 3. a colleague and i will be using ur diagram to interview someone...
sounds funny right but believe me we will interview some up coming net admin.
