Folder Permisions was created by kalale
I've setup a windows server 2003 file server, and I've created folders for each user, the problem im having is when i want to give permision to a particular user, when i go to folder properties -> security -> add. Under select users and group I dont get my domain it only lists the file server, so at the moment everyone can access every ones folders which i don't want. How can i fix this

Did you join your file server to the Active Directory domain? I as far as I remmember, you won't get the domain users in the security tabs until you join the domain.

If you've already joined it, click the Locations button and select Entire Enterprise

Hi,
After some investigation, the server that i was given to setup as a file server is windows server 2003 enterprise and the DC is windows server 2003 standard, would that be the reason for permissions issue.

"If you've already joined it, click the Locations button and select Entire Enterprise"

It doesn't give me that option it on shows the file server name
