Info on Fiber Networking

A big thank you to everyone who has been helping me out


So i'm going to be starting a new job shortly. And I'm going to need to know about networking with fiber optic cable and related tech. I'm working with an ISP who is deploying alot of it to alot of places.

AND, I'm finding it hard to find information about it. Google turns about 50,000 pages. But i'm looking for something that gets me from knowing very little to being comfortable with the basics quickly.

wavelengehths, speed, I'm pretty much new to it, and the stuff I do know i would like to know alot better.

Any resources, BOOKS, sites, or the likes. Please let me know.

Lots of good info on the fibers.org site.
But...

If anyone has anything else that would be great. I'm going to need to know some nitty gritty and the more the better.
