AVG should be used only really for home use. If its corporate protection you need, look at sophos or norton antivirus, but it never comes cheap!

thats the best part ...
the manager is always ready to spend money as long as it is wisely spent ..
i use AVG only for desktops.
as said, we are already on symantec.
but it has had a few loopholes lately..
what about Kaspersky ?? ive suggested kaspersky.. i find it better than norton ( much better)

Kaspersky has the best technologies and the best detection IMHO.
I didn't chip in about it for corporate use as I don't know how it handles on the MTA or as a gateway A/V solution.

Hi

Corporate virus scanning? Here is the best combination, IMHO.

For Internet eMail Gateways - Trend IMSS (InterScan Messaging Security Suite)
For Mail Servers - Trend ScanMail
For Servers - Trend ServerProtect
To manage all of the above from a single console - use TMCM (Trend Micro Management Console)

For clients - McAfee.
For management and deployment - ePO (ePolicy Orchestrator)

No! I am not from Trend. :-)
