Simple tool for creating alerts based on syslog data was created by Hyaloid
Hi,
Do anyone know of any small and easy tools creating e-mail alerts or similar when certain patterns are seen in syslog files ?
Dont get me started on Cisco Works LMS
I dont like it too much even though we run the latest version.
I am forced to run syslog on windows due to company standardization btw.. Currently using Kiwi Syslog and perl but im *cough* forced into a more GUI world

Haha, I started to read the reply, "Dear stupid mofo..." and I was thinking that someone was being an @ss then I realized you were talking to yourself.

haha...
I recognize his behavior... sometimes I can't find the solution to something fast enough (imho), then I post it on a forum for some help.. and while posting it still searching.. and yup, after 2 minutes you find the answer

I know what you mean. I think we have all done that before. You think you will get a solution faster by posting your question. I guess even if you find something you still could get more information by posting your question.
