please which linux distros is recommended to build router?

though i am newbie but i want to build my own router below are some linux distros for buiding router which i copied from an online forum and wish to know from experienced users in this forum the one that is preferable, has good network/load balancing ability and filtering plus user friendly.
though am beginning to like pfsense...

Some of the basic *nix router distros....

IPCop...one of the more popular ones, has a big development/support community with lots of add-on packages.

yeah pfsence is cool , though untangle cant most of the features

then check ENPAQ but they like money

I tried Vyatta. It has a command line interface that is some what similar to Cisco's and also a GUI interface. The software can be run on either a PC or Vyatta's own appliances. They have a good number of business customers worldwide including Toyota.

I also heard good news from a friend regarding untangle.
