WHICH LINUX was created by xit
i have a question for all the linux buffs could someone tell me which linux i could install on my pc, as i want to dual boot between linux and windows. do i have to make two partitions to seperate the info, also im thinking of mandriva can anyone advise me. im itching to try linux and although i have not used it due to compatibility i believe it to be the way to go. :twisted:

I'll say go for Ubuntu, it comes with a nice dual boot tool, all you have to do is to select which drive you want to install ubuntu on and you are done, here is the link:

as always alns you are a fountain of knowledge, thanks for all the help in the last while ive implemented the sus and it seems to be working will see when the rest of the pc's are there

as a novice,i suggest you frist read some material about linux,install one linux in your computer,fedora or ubuntn is a good choose

I would use VMware and make virtual machines of several flavors of Linux and see what you like.

Ubuntu seems to be a popular one.
