GNS3 does not emulate Cisco switches, however you can use the NM-16ESW module on a router to have switching functionality. This video explains:

oh.. i see.. thanks, But I was thinking of practicing STP but GNS3 doesnt support a switch simulation..

Is there anything I could where I could practice STP configuration?
Packet Tracer is acting weird when I try to config STP.

I think the NM-16ESW module supports STP too. Or is it not?. To be sure, you could install it on an a router on GNS3 and try out.

Ok, I'm positive that it supports STP. In the following document Cisco says it supports "Spanning Tree Protocol"

Hi there, okay.. so I tried what you said, I downloaded a IOS image file which is a c3640-ios56i-mz.120-4.T.bin that includes NM-16ESW.

But unfortunately, There are no spanning tree commands to be used.
I really wanted to learn Spanning Tree, but i dont think packet tracer can handle it, it acts weird when i try to config...
