lab working?

So is this thing dead? or is there still hope

It isn't dead; not yet.
Prior to and following its initial launch the team spent a lot of time working on the lab. It was then subsequently taken down due mainly to difficulties with the booking system and the fact that some people couldn't seem to follow the password rules thus breaking the automated reset for the next user. Since then there has been further development work behind the scenes but as there is only one team and the site must continue to develop we're currently putting our focus into the new knowledgebase section and something else Chris will be announcing in the not-too-distant future. Once the knowledgebase is well populated and ticking over we'll have a rethink on the lab. We understand the membership really like it and it proved very popular while online so we'll do the best we can

I don't see any updates since 2009.

Is there a way to access the lab?

Lets just hope Chris comes up with some solution real soon. It seems like there are some very disappointed people here.
