windows/system32 was created by indebluez
how u guys doin...i have a qn on this folder in my dir C:\WINDOWS\system32
1)there are loadsa files here...what is this folder for?
2) is there any way for a safe cleanup? coz i see loadsa things tt i dont think i need or use....besides dll there are other extensions as well.....nls
hlx and ax...jus wwna whats all this

Lady, step slowly away from that folder, don't make any sudden moves.. back away carefully..

the system32 directory (and for that matter most of the directories in /windows) contains your system files.. most importantly it contains all the DLL's (files that have program code) that make Windows work.. you cannot i emphasise.. cannot do a 'cleanup' here... cleanup means no deleting files, pachaging them into nice subfolders, zipping them, renaming them, dancing with them etc.

In short, you are not supposed to touch these files.. leave them alone and play elsewhere :)
