If you can't get a static address from your ISP, you could use zoneedit.com's free dynamic DNS service . At least that way you'll have a hostname that's automatically updated with changes to your IP address.

thanks, I checked and zoneedit.com does have dynamic ip services. I decided to build a website based on photos that that members upload. Can i still use IIS 6.0 on the 2003 windows server? what steps are important to go about doing this?

yes you can still use IIS6 on your Win2k3 server. but if you're planning on using both web servers (apache and IIS) i suggest that you stick to using only one. either IIS6 or apache. in that way your OS would have to support only one server and would also circumvent any conflicts that might occur between the two servers when they are run on the same machine.

If you're looking for free photo gallery software, check out Gallery . It runs on Linux, Windows - Apache, IIS.
