readable yahoo password

hi guys
today my friend called me to check his comp...his machine has xp pro OS.When we try to logon through yahoo messenger,after writing user name when we write password in the password box it shows us what we are writing,although it should just show hashes.can u guys tell me what is the cause of this prob and how can i fix it...

Now that is the most random thing I've ever heard about. I'd say you should reinstally yahoo messenger.

Does this happen with all password boxes or just yahoo ?

System possible compromised? Or friend had played with password software himself and forgot about it?? Check what software is running / installed and reinstall Yahoo as instructed.

This is a yahoo messenger "fault" version which is used to record the actions performed by the user - it has all the functions avaialbe in the real yahoo ....
its simple solution is to uninstall ur yahoo messenger ,,, and also remove it from from ur windows regestry ,,,, and re-install it ...
