Leopard.

Hey guys.

Sorry, long time no post. Acquired a mac recently which has a 700mhz processor and 512mb of ram. It's an iMac with the swivel flat screen. Kinda cute.

I want to install Leopard on the beast. You think it will work??

Leopard will definitely drag on those specs. I have an iBook running a 1.2GHz processor and 1.25gigs of RAM and it was running real slow. Unfortunately, with all the GUI enhancements and extra features such as Expose your going to need some juice to run it smoothly.

You could always give it a try, and at the least just dabble in Leopard. I think Tiger would have some trouble running smoothly on those specs too. I believe Panther was brought up all the way until the 1GHz processors, and then Tiger took over.

Hey guys, just to add my pearls of wisdom
I agree with Zippy, don't install Leopard on the nice little imac. Tiger might run, although a bit slow. At least do a mem upgrade to have a bearable system.
