A 4th switch, a Cisco 3560, is now in the lab. You can access it at:

telnet 72.205.54.70 49004

For latest topology and updates, go to labswitch.blogspot.com . Thanks!

My goal is to keep this lab simple to manage and maintain. Thus, there will be no fancy features like scheduling, reservation, registering, etc. This is a casual quick and dirty lab, nothing grand or ambitious. I'm just sharing my home lab to the world.

All the access control is done by a Bash shell script I wrote, running in cron.

I use ser2net on Scientific Linux for the terminal server.

The lab cost probably around $1200 to build, including all 4 switches, the PC, the cabling, and GBIC's. Almost everything is used, except the crossover cables and USB-serial converters.

A little more info is on the blog. Let me know if you have any suggestions! Thanks!
