UDP/TCP in LAN? was created by truesdq
UDP and TCP are using in single LAN or not ?
if use then its ok... (would you tell me little about it how using ?)
and  IF not then couldn't be needed this in LAN?
Why?
if We need reliability in LAN then what is Alternative?

UDP and TCP are using in single LAN or not ?

Can we use UDP and TCP on the same Lan?

if use then its ok... (would you tell me little about it how using ?)

If you can use UDP and TCP on the same Lan how does that work?

and IF not then couldn't be needed this in LAN? Why?

If we need reliablity in a lan what are the options?

My answer:

UDP and TCP CAN both be used on a single lan. They are not mutually exclusive meaning both TCP and UDP can exist on the same lan segment. Individual transmissions use UDP or TCP however there is generally only one or two frames being transmitted within a single collision domain at any given time in order to avoid collisions on the chosen media. Exceptions in which more then one TCP or UDP message is being transmitted in a single collision domain include actual collisions where 2 or more nodes within a collision domain try to send at the same time creating an actual collision or when full duplex is functioning within a collision domain. Essentially TCP or UDP is chosen based on the data that needs to be transmitted not the network that it's attached to.

well.
TCP and UDP can also be used for the responsibility of the port no/addresses to the target destination ...?
