Hello,
I am studying for my CCNA 640-801 exam, I have two study guides which say diffrent thing about zero subnets.

In one guide, it is stated that all every newer IOS (11.x and up) have the command ip subnet-zero turned on by default which makes router to accept those subnets and that we should use them if we get a question on the exam.

The other guide said, that although all their routers can handle zero subnets, Cisco is recommending not to use those subnets, and we should not use them on the exam because the answer will be marked as wrong.

Can someone share his/her experience, what should I do when I get to the exam?

Thank you,
Branislav

Good luck with your study.

I asked the same question as I was preparing for my 640-801. You may find my post of help
