How to start developing Firewall/proxy server using VB6

hi, guys
I'm a frequent user of this website but just today registered with it
to post for you this question.

I'd like to know how to start and where to find relevent information
about Firewall/proxy server development for windows paltform using VB6. Although I want to note that the system is not suppose to be large or complex, all I want is
a proxy server that is able to send/request packets for HTTP/FTP
protocols, and a firewall as usall that can identify network access.

Your helps is highly appreciated.

Tfs should have some ideas on this, I'm not very proficient with VB at all.. Though I'd guess you'll have to trap any packet destined for port 80 / 21 and forward it, while blocking everything else.
