Hi;

We have 2 locations interconnected currently with 3COM wireless bridges (model: 3CRWEASYG73-US).

We are trying to segment the IP network topology to accomodate VoIP.

We installed a L3 3560 with 3 (vlan 51, 101 and 201) vlans at the main building. Trunked a port on the 3560 to allow vlan 101 and 201 with native vlan 201. Plugged in the wireless bridge. Enabled routing and defined interface vlan 51, vlan 101 and vlan 201 and added IP addresses to each of the interfaces.

On the remote location we installed a 2960 switch with fa0/48 trunked and native vlan 201. Plugged the remote 3com wireless. Defined fa0/1-4 as vlan 101 and fa05-47 as vlan 201.

At the remote location: we plugged a device into fa0/40 and we can ping that device from all the VLAN except from device in fa0/1-4 (vlan 101) at the remote site.

At the main site we can ping devices at the remote site on vlan 201 but not on vlan 101.

We simulated this in a lab by using non managed switches to replicate the 3COM bridges and all worked perfectly. When we introdice the 3Com bridges VLAN 101 info does not pass through the 3COM bridges.

The VLAN filter options on the 3COM is disabled. Therefore, my understanding, the 3COM should simply pass the trunk packets through without stripping anytihing.

Can someone suggest or help me with this to get it to wokr?

Thank you so much in advance.
