Hi,

I have a question. Last day our office Internet network was down for 5 minutes. It was happened for 4th time in this year. When checked in router "show ppp multilink", it shows as below:-

Multilink1, bundle name is xxxxxx
Endpoint discriminator is xxxxxx
Bundle up for 36w1d, total bandwidth 8192, load 15/255
Receive buffer limit 48000 bytes, frag timeout 1000 ms
3/1152 fragments/bytes in reassembly list
196393 lost fragments, 3475739031 reordered
136898/2768375745 discarded fragments/bytes, 5745 lost received
0x8C016 received sequence, 0x1E86D4 sent sequence
Member links: 4 active, 0 inactive (max not set, min not set)
Se0/2/1, since 2w3d
Se0/2/0, since 2d05h
Se0/1/1, since 36w1d
Se0/1/0, since 36w1d
No inactive multilink interfaces

It was the interface of Se0/2/0 was down previously. Now my question is, does the internet down related to the interface se0/2/0 down?? Is it if one interface down, it should not affected the Internet since i have 3 more active interface that time. Does my theory is correct?

For your information, the bundle connection group is from same telco.

Thanks

kogula,

Since this is a multilink, when one serial interface goes down, it should not affect the rest of the links as they should continue to work as normal - you'll just have reduced speed.

It's also a good idea to double-check this with your provider as well - just in case.

Cheers,
Chris Partsenidis.
