OSPF Init State

Apart from initial OSPF summarization , when does a link goes to init state

When a adjacency is broken (whatever the reason is, interface down, neighbor down, too many retransmission, ...), the router mark the neighbor as DOWN and then restart the OSPF process on the interface with the INIT state.
