TOPIC: Debian Unstable Repository

Debian Unstable Repository 12 years 2 months ago #24610

I am new to Linux and am trying to install a program with apt-get install that needs to use the Debian Unstable Repository. I tried adding unstable (something to that effect - I don't recall the entire address) to the Synaptic Package Manager, but it doesn't seem to work. I also tried to add the FTP location to the repository file manually and it didn't work.

Any idea how I am supposed to use said repository?

If the repository is down, then don't waste your energy, search for an alternate.

I'm not sure what you mean. I don't know what the repository SHOULD be for the Unstable...let alone an alternative one that includes the same software.

I went with a different approach anyway.
