I was pinging one of the IPs with variable data length using the

command ping -l 128 202.142.88.121.

i used to get a reply with MISCOMPARE at offset 88.

but when i ping with normal 32 bytes, everyting is fine.

whats causing this? please can anybody explain in detail?

thanks in advance
