Our LAN has HTTP upload restrictions to 1MB and FTP upload is disabled. They use Squid Proxy(Squid/2.3.STABLE4). Can such restrictions be applied in Squid itself? I'm not aware if they are using SquidGuard. Can this restriction be bypassed?

Hi

The restrictions such as which ports are allowed etc, are possible with squid itself.

You can restrict the allowed entries in acl Safe_ports of squid.conf
