Not really. I've been half-heartedly studying for the CompTIA Network + and the material in there is the first real exposure to IPv6 I've come across. Certainly it provides more address space but I think they missed the opportunity to make the whole thing simpler

I've obtained my CCNP including the IPv6 chapters... but to be honest, I don't think IPv6 is really necessary...

The company I'm currently working isn't preparing for IPv6 either, I think you got loads of time to get the knowledge needed for IPv6

I think the day will come when your manager ask you to move to IPv6, it is a matter of time, and already there are copmanies who use IPv6.
Reasons could be money, security, new product, ISP..

There is no reason not to move to, almost all new devices (PCs, routers) are capable of handling IPv6.

I hope I'll be able to move to IPv6 when they ask me to do that instead of leting them bring someone else who knows how to do it.
