Basic question about NFS was created by RohitK
I'd like to know what the "base protocol" of NFS is ....im a little confused....is it TCP/IP since its the transport layer protocol that carries the packet...or is it PortMapper Protocol/service...which takes the RPC requests and maps them to some port..
im a newbie ..so ive phrased the question as i understand
Thanks

Yes, I believe TCP is the transport layer protocol.
