How do you point the default gateway on a Win 2003 DHCP server to another IP on the network? We want the packets to be pointed to a routers Eth int.

Win server 2003 gives out dynamic IP to hosts on the network. We want the hosts to have a default gateway of one of our router's Ethernet interface.

Let me see if I am able to understand what you are trying to accomplish.

There is a Windows Server 2003 whose role is DHCP. Along with the DHCP server, there are multiple hosts and a router as well whose role is to route packets to other networks. The requirements are:

DHCP must issue Layer-3 addresses and Configuration parameters to the hosts on the network. One of the configuration parameter that the requirement is asking for is to have the DHCP issue the Default Gateway Address to the hosts on the network whenever a host sends a request to lease a Layer-3 address from the DHCP server.

Then, why can't the configuration be done on the DHCP, either by using Server and/or Scope options based on your requirements, and let the DHCP hand out configuaration parameters as and when a host is live on the network?
