Hey i am on a local intarnet (172.16.212.x).

I am working on one of the computers on the intranet & trying to access the other computer's C drive on which i have my account, and i know that because i have worked on that computer & i know no one has deleted my account from that computer but when i use the following command on my computer...

net use \\\c$ * /USER:domain\username
Type the password for \\\c$:

When i enter the correct password for my profile ... what i get is this ...

System error 5 has occurred.

Access is denied.

NOw why is that ?
Next would be SP (Service Provider)
CCNA, CCNP (Switching), CCIE#20640

Enable encrypting your passwords.

Make sure permission file settings are set for the c$ share file correctly to allow the user you logged in with access to that share. Also, make sure your firewall settings allow network neighborhood traffic to and from and that you havent used any security programs that disable that share all together because of security reasons.
