Hi,I'm in a bit of a dilema.I coonect to the work server from home using win xp remote desktop and one other guy uses remote desktop to connect to the server 196.x.x.x then vnc to connect to his pc.We windows 2000 server at work and i know only 2 or 3 people can connect to win 2000 ser at a time. Now there is more people that want log on to there computer remotely.I know that security will be an issue as well. What is the best way to go about doing this coz logging on to the server then use vnc to connect to thier pc doesn't seem very logical to me.

Get an SSH server and use it to redirect either VNC or remote desktop connections direct to the destination machines.

In practical terms, you could either run an SSH server program on one of your existing machines (any linux boxes lying around) or on your windows server under cygwin. www.cygwin.com

You could also stick IPCOP www.ipcop.org on an old machine and use it as a firewall/SSH server. I guess this will depend on what existing firewall arrangements you've got.

or since you're in a Windows environment, you could setup the win2k server as a RRAS server and use PPTP to tunnel into the network. It won't give them access to their desktops at work, but should allow them to work as if they were on the LAN.
