Hi All,

I'm desperate for this so please help!

Have just built an XP image and syspreped it. All working fine except for one issue... Sysprep re-enables the Local Area Connection which I had previusly disabled ARRGH!

Is there a DOS command which I can put in my startup script that will disable the local area connection - I've run into a brick wall with this so far!

Cheers,
Ceri

Yep you're in luck, have a look at the netsh commands, there are little things like 'interface' and 'offline' over there. Microsoft has a whole reference somewhere but the internal help might help you.
Type netsh <enter>
? <enter>

I almost answered this saying 'ifconfig eth0 down' hehe

Try this address:

www.foxpop.co.uk/pc/network_01.htm

There is also plenty of other links to other sites that have explanations on netsh. Looks like what you might be looking for.
Thanks,

Tom
