WinXP keeps on "Preparing to Standby" after log on 9 years 3 months ago #29054

Few seconds after logging on Windows XP, it keeps on prompting "Preparing to Standby".It will display the log on prompt,try to logged in again but will again prompt "Preparing to standby".
I tried the Power management at control panel,I also tried to disable some application at system tray.I even stopped some processes using the Task Manager.

BTW, this problem is not shown when it is in safe mode, so the problem is unlikely in the hardware part.

The administrator has disabled public write access.

its windows and it's problems. u knw wat since it boots up to safe mode, try booting into safe mode with networking and then install, update and run spy bot search and destroy... ur sys should be aight...

i don't suspect its a hardware issue u are been knocked out by some virus thingy
