what will I do with a corrupted BIOS using xp

Re: corrupted bios 11 years 2 months ago #23644

If the BIOS is truely corrupted then booting to the OS shouldn't be possible (depending on the degree of the corruption), and so the OS won't even be a factor on your attempt to resolve the issue.

You can either flash the BIOS (depending on the degree of the corruption, this may or may not be possible)......some motherboards' CMOS chip has a section, that isn't flashable, that will allow the computer to boot enough to allow you to flash the BIOS.....if flashing fails, you may need to contacting the motherboard manufacture's tech support for assistance........they may have other ideas on how to resolve the issue.
