Can u tell me whether Raid o,raid 1 ,raid 2 with win NT Possible???Further is the same i mean --- raid 0,1,2,3 possible with win 2k??/

Yes,

Mainly, you would use 0 (stripping), 1 (mirroring) or 5 (stripping with parity). This done through the Disk Administrator.

If you're creating the array within the O/S, you can't include the boot partition.

Using a RAID controller will allow you to do that if that's what you want.

That may be true for stripping (Raid 0 and 5), but I don't think that is the case for mirroring (Raid 1).

If you want to use NT to do your Raid, I would only use stripping on a SCSI drive as it would be pointless to do Raid 0 and 5 on the same drive and IDE drives would only give you 4 drives to work with.

What I have done for a server is use Raid 1 on the system drive (IDE) and set up a SCSI controller with 3+ drives for everything else and stripe those.

Or just set up 2 IDE drives and Mirror those.
