sup y'all,

ive never tried using live linux cds, frend of mine told me so i decide to check em out .ive downloaded a couple of images(gnoppix stable & knoppix) from various mirrors( the check sums r ok) but when ever i burn them to cds they seem not to work yet both my pcs are within the required specs.ive got pc with redhat but i prefer not to use it coz its got no download accelerator & writer so i use the xp one for this .

downloading iso's burning them only not to work is turning into my no.1 hit sad love song .(think i need a remix)
any body with some tips or help.i need help on this

Are you sure you are burning the image onto the disk(for example by using Nero's "Burn Image" feature) and not just writing the .ISO file on the disk.?

Also check that your PC is configured to boot from cdrom first. You can change the boot sequence from the BIOS.

Most likely you've accidentally written the iso file on the cd.. open it in explorer you will see that you've got one file called something.iso there...

What you should do is actually 'burn image' or similar option.
