My XP machine is connected to my Linux Machine through 100BaseT eth0 cards on both machines.
How can I limit my XP machine eth0 to just 8MB.
actually I want to put a download limit of 8MB/sec for my XP machine eth0.
can I do it through Linux iptables utility or in some other way??

Hello,

You can do exactly this through the Classfull Queing facility of Linux. The utility to control this is IProute2.

The (almost) complete documentation for iproute is here.
