TOPIC: ipcop mail

ipcop mail 12 years 7 months ago #14094

I would like to get an email from my ipcop fw in real-time.
Do I need to install other software like qmail?

Welcome to firewall.cx, tephelan. What do you want exactly? Do you want emails to be sent based on certain pre-defined events occurring?
The copfilter package adds a number of features including email notification if any services fail for example.

Thanks for the info. I tried Copfilter but it's too much. I don't (currently) don't need all of the anti-virus and spam tools.

I just want to monitor services, restart them, and email me for important events.

I will use some of the tools that copfilter is using like monit and sendEmail.
