hello to all especially to all IPCop gurus,

i would like to ask if it would be possible to install the APC UPS Monitoring software on IPCop that is to be able to monitor its uptime in cases of blackouts or power outages. if so could you give me pointers on how to go about this. thanks so much.

I have not tried it myself, but there is a Linux version of the APC Powerchute Agent. Check here for details.

hi dalight,

thanks for the response. i will try and check on it.
by the way, as far as i know, ipcop is linux base wherein it is stripped off all of the features to its bare essentials necessary to function as a firewall...am i right in my presumption?

You are right that IPCOP is Linux-based. It is a customised Linux system built using Linux From Scratch (LFS) .
