Could someone help me, please? I have been trying to duplicate your example for learning purposes, and I am stuck...
I have two subnets in a win2k environment, I'll call this Computer 0. This computer has an Internet connection (NIC-0), and I have shared that connection with NIC-1. Nick 1 has IP-192.168.0.1/GW-192.168.0.1/MASK-255.255.255.224
On Computer 1 have 2 NICs:
NIC-0 = IP-192.168.0.10 / GW-192.168.0.1 / MASK-255.255.255.224
NIC-1 = IP-192.168.0.36 / GW-192.168.0.1 / MASK-255.255.255.224
On Computer 2 I have one NIC
NIC-0=IP-192.168.35 / GW-192.168.36 (from computer 1, NIC=1) and a mask of 255.255.255.224
.35. and .36 will not ping outside the network, nor will .1 ping .36 or .35
If I cange the netmask on computer 0 to 255.255.255.0, everything works!
What am doing wrong? Thanks for you help...
If I change the netmask to 255.255.255.0, everything works...
