Hi, I am trying to understand subnetting but I just cant get the gist of it. I am trying to use CIDR with a class B IP address for an office with 6 departments and trying to give them each their own network. Also I have a class c IP for an office that has more than 254 nodes. HELP ME!!!!

If you haven't tried our sub-netting guides yet, I recommend you do. Click on the [Networking] menu. Then click [General]. You will find [Subneting] and [Superneting CIDR].

Or you can check this popular thread:

Other wise if you like watching a video more than reading, I'd recommend:

If you still have trouble after that let us know and we'll try to help.
