You can't hide the MAC address of a machine because anyone who can sniff the network will be able to see it in the packet headers.
With some network cards you can change the MAC address to one of your own choosing by making a setting in the accompanying software but it depends on whether your card supports this or not. And the new address would still be visible on the network anyway.
The only situation I can think of in which you can "hide" the MAC address is when you set up a man-in-the-middle type of attack using ARP poisoning. In this situation you reroute traffic via a third machine so that the sender does not see the MAC address of the true destination but instead sees the MAC address of the relay

I agree with the TheBishop that you can NOT hide it but you can change it. Here is a tool that can do that: tmac.technitium.com/tmac/index.html

The bottom line is for normal network operation you need a MAC address (real or spoofed) in order to be reachable by the gateway/router and other hosts on the LAN.
